Chief People Officer

Spacewell is searching for an inspiring and innovative Chief People Officer (CPO), who will be responsible for Spacewell’s global people function, culture and structure to enable the global growth of Spacewell. S/he will lead a global HR team, currently consisting of 5 HR Business Partners and 4-5 HR Specialists in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Nordics and India.

Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of the Senior Management Team, s/he will develop and execute an HR strategy and partner with the SMT to execute the global vision & strategy. S/he will be a proactive, resourceful and pragmatic leader with strong desire to drive high performance and transformation. As a leader s/he will provide sound HR advice, counsel direction and decisions to ensure mindset, competencies and required skills are aligned to the future growth strategies. The ideal candidate is able to tap into the collective energy an intelligence of the Spacewell organization. S/he is an HR Executive who knows how to build a global corporate brand and culture and has a solid understanding of building and scaling a sustainable and global team in fast paced environments. S/he is comfortable with transformations efforts, ensuring the company has the appropriate amount of infrastructure, data, policies and processes to continue to grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an HR strategy in line with the overall mission and strategy of the organization and translate this into a pragmatic human resources plan. Resulting in innovative, best practices and policies that will service the full range of Spacewell’s People needs and help build a high-performing culture of success, accountability, transparency and collaboration, partly through f.e. Leadership Development.

  • Modernise and refine (existing) HR policies and activities and optimise the HR function & HR team in order to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Guide the HR team in supporting Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Engagement, and Compensation & Benefits and support them to ensure daily HR operations are also handled timely and appropriately. Assist in articulating the global HR policy at the regional level.

  • Manage resource allocation, recruiting and retaining high-potential talent. Design and implement programs and processes regarding employer branding, talent attraction, onboarding, retention, learning & development and succession planning, in order to become Employer of Choice.

  • Oversee all aspects of total rewards, including compensation, incentive plans and benefits, to ensure the total reward programs are competitive and aligned with the business strategy and company culture.

  • Build, enhance and lead strategic HR initiatives such as Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that reflect Spacewell’s culture and values.

  • Ensure the organization is compliant regarding Employee Relations and interact with Works Council as well as with vendors and external partners to create and maintain relationships / negotiate contracts.

  • Networking informal and formal within Nemetschek’s HR Community, pro-active alignment with the VP HR Nemetschek group in Munich.

BACKGROUND / CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree required. University degree or MBA preferred.

  • Multiyear international, corporate HR leadership experience.

  • Experience managing people and teams of various sizes in various locations, in Europe and preferably in India, and, demonstrating a strong cultural awareness.

  • Technology, Software and/or IT Services experience beneficial.

  • Broad and deep experience as HR Business Partner.

  • Excellent communications skills - written, verbal and interpersonal - and an ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences globally.

  • Demonstrated capability in adapting and innovating HR practices and solutions and right sizing them to the needs of a fluid and fast-paced, entrepreneurial organisation.

  • Results-driven, agile, change agent with the commitment and confidence to assume a leadership role in an evolving complex environment.

  • Drive initiatives with limited resources and roll-up your sleeves attitude to achieve desired results.

  • Personal integrity, fairness and credibility necessary to gain the trust and commitment of individuals at all levels of the organisation.

  • Demonstrated success at cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Role Location

The role will be based in Arnhem ( Rijnpoort), brand new Headquarters of Spacewell.
